Case Study: Building a Brand From the Ground Up Helped Gimme’s Make a Bold Entrance

When Gimme’s Par & Grill set out to open a brand-new restaurant in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, they had a clear vision for the space—but needed a marketing partner to bring that vision to life. That’s where TACT came in.

TACT partnered with Gimme’s from the very beginning, taking a 15-month journey from brand concept to grand opening. We wore just about every marketing hat along the way, serving as both creative collaborators and strategic guides.

BUILDING A BRAND FROM THE GROUND UP

With no existing branding or online presence, we started from scratch to build a complete visual identity that matched the upscale, approachable vibe of Gimme’s.

From brand voice and color theory to logo development and internal brand guides, we ensured every piece of the puzzle was aligned. Our goal? Create a brand that felt cohesive, welcoming, and easy to recognize in a crowded hospitality market.

SOCIAL MEDIA BUILT TO CREATE BUZZ

With zero online presence to start, we established new accounts and built a strategy that aligned with Gimme’s target audience: upper-class professionals seeking a polished yet fun place to dine, meet, and relax.

Our team created branded, consistent content leading up to their grand opening and beyond—building awareness and buzz throughout the local community.

DEVELOPING A GUEST-FRIENDLY MENU

Menu design isn’t just about listing food—it’s about curating an experience. We worked closely with Gimme’s to create menus that were visually appealing, easy to navigate, and thoughtfully structured using color theory, item hierarchy, and clear typography.

The result? Menus that support both the guest experience and the kitchen’s priorities.

A WEBSITE THAT WORKS (AND CONVERTS)

We conducted a full website audit and UX consultation, identifying areas for improvement in navigation, SEO, load times, and mobile responsiveness. By the time we wrapped, Gimme’s had a site that not only looked great but worked harder—engaging visitors, encouraging bookings, and driving traffic through improved search performance.

A GRAND OPENING WORTH TALKING ABOUT

TACT managed all aspects of the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, partnering with local development agencies and welcoming over 75 guests including city commissioners, business leaders, and state officials. The energy? Immaculate.

We also tapped into our influencer network, organizing a private soft-opening event that generated user-generated content and reached more than 144,000 new users across social media.

THE RESULT?
A BRAND THAT TRANSFORMED A CONCEPT INTO A DESTINATION

With a fully built brand, a strategic marketing foundation, and a powerful local buzz, Gimme’s Par & Grill opened its doors to an enthusiastic community and a packed grand opening.

Their social channels were active and growing, their menu felt curated and intentional, and their online presence was converting curious visitors into customers.
